Enrollment process
At LANA Tallinn International Kindergarten (TIKi), we warmly invite families to join our vibrant and inclusive community. Admissions are conducted year-round based on available places and acceptance priorities. Newly qualified or waitlisted children will be admitted depending on availability.
The enrollment process at LANA TIKI is designed to be clear, simple, and personal. Here’s an overview of the steps:
Submit an Application
To start the process, simply fill out the Application Form. This includes providing basic details about your child, such as age and any special requirements that will help us ensure the best possible care.
Visit & Family Interview
After processing the application, we will schedule a visit for you to tour our facilities. During the visit, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with our team, ask questions about our program, and learn more about the LANA Approach. A brief interview with parents (and children) is part of the process to ensure we can best support each child’s needs.
Confirmation & Offer
After your visit, we’ll carefully review your application and our available places. If we are able to offer your child a place, you will receive:
- Your child’s group placement
- Proposed start date and schedule
- Contract and fee details
To secure your child’s place, simply sign the contract and pay the registration fee. We’ll then send you a welcome package with next steps, including your child’s teacher introduction, daily schedule, and adaptation plan.
A Note on Our Multicultural Environment
LANA TIKi is a welcoming space for children from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. While the primary language of instruction is English, we embrace the richness of the languages and cultures that each child brings. We support language development in a way that honors each child’s mother tongue, fostering a sense of belonging and respect for diversity.
Acceptance Priority
When places are limited, LANA TIKi follows these acceptance priorities:
- Siblings of currently or previously enrolled students
- Children of diplomats
- Children of employees of EU institutions and agencies
- Children of foreigners living and working in Estonia
- Local children whose mother tongue / dominant language is Estonian or Russian
