Frequently Asked Questions

We welcome children from 1.5 to 7 years old.
Children are placed in groups based on age and readiness to support their social, emotional, and language development.

TIKi is open Monday–Friday, 8:00–18:00.
Children can attend a half-day (until 12:30), a full day (until 15:00), or a full day with Evening Care (until 17:45).

We offer rolling enrollment, so children can join us throughout the year as long as there is space in the group.

No. Children do not need to speak English before starting.
Our teachers gently support language development through play, songs, and daily routines.

Our youngest groups (ages 1.5–3) follow a play-based early childhood program based on the Estonian National Curriculum, inspired by international best practices and the holistic principles of the LANA Approach.

From age 3, children formally begin the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), which focuses on inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning and helps children become curious, confident, and internationally minded.

We provide three meals per day: breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack (for children in Evening Care).
We are happy to adapt meals for any dietary restrictions and children with allergies.

Children must be potty-trained and independent in bathroom use to join K1 (ages 3–4).
In Daycare and Nursery, teachers and assistants support children who are still learning.

We believe in a gentle and respectful start for every child and family.

  • Daycare & Nursery: Day 1 with a parent until after lunch (12:30), Day 2 short day without parent, gradually extending until nap and full day when the child is ready.

  • K1 & K2: Day 1 is a short day (until 12:30) without parent. Nap and full-day routines are introduced gradually.

Evening Care is added step by step once the child feels comfortable.

Yes. We enter children into the system and guide parents through the process.
Parents simply confirm the subsidy allocation in the email they receive.

Children must stay home if they have symptoms of illness.

If your child has a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, they should remain at home for at least 24 hours after symptoms stop.
